Whether you are trying to start a small business, expand an existing small business, or buy/sell an on-going small business, we can provide free face to face mentoring and counseling regarding the many issues and challenges our clients face. Most often, we assist in the development of business plans for locally owned small businesses. As a Chapter of SCORE we can also draw instantly upon our nationwide pool of over 11,500 mentors for specialized help.

Citrus County SCORE Welcomes new Certified Mentor Tara MacDonnell
Tara Lucente MacDonnell recently served as the Regional Director of Comcast’s Big South Project Management Office (RPMO). In her role, Tara was the senior leader responsible for the deployment of all products and services to 3-million customers with a focus on quality and operational efficiency to ensure a great customer experience.
Tara has 12 years in the communications industry holding a variety of leadership roles in project management and operations including Comcast’s Indianapolis (RPMO), Business Services Director of Operations and Insight Communication’s Operations Development Manager in Louisville, KY.
Prior to her career in telecommunications, Tara lived in Chippewa Falls, WI working in roles that included Project Management, Leadership Development, Customer Care, Account Management and as an Office Manager. She wrote several successful SBA business plans and obtained a large grant for a recycling facility.
Tara and her husband Tom moved to Citrus County last summer from Atlanta and are excited to call this their permanent home.

SCORE's mentors, comprised of active and retired business men and women, provide clients with free and confidential business counseling. Counseling can be conducted at the client's place of business, at our chapter headquarters, by telephone or via email.
SCORE mentors and representatives from the local business community conduct a variety of regularly scheduled, low-cost educational workshops that provide valuable information and techniques necessary for establishing and managing a successful business.
With access to a wide variety of documents, templates and tools to assist you in starting or growing your business, the information provided here covers a wide range of subjects including initial business planning, capital sources, government agencies, and much more.
